My name is Charlene W. and I’m the co-director of The Humanitarian Fund for Displaced Children in Gaza. The Children’s Fund is a mutual aid initiative providing essential supplies directly to families in need throughout Gaza: baby formula, diapers, food, clothing, blankets, and tents (www.displacedchildrensfund.org). Currently, we serve as a safety net for over 70 children including several awaiting urgent medical evacuation. As a result, we have collaborated with a large number of mutual aid initiatives, non-profits, and NGOs on behalf of our families. We have been so impressed with the staff at Rebuilding Alliance.

Their professionalism, responsiveness, and thoroughness has been impactful on multiple fronts, but especially through our use of the Gaza Giving Cart. We have called upon the GGC to help us provide for some of our most vulnerable families- those with sick children in need of baby formula and specialty food, along with diapers and milk in circumstances that prove highly challenging to navigate, as well as providing fresh produce. Time and again they have delivered. A tremendous amount of coordination goes into their work with us, both as an organization and with the individual families we serve through the distribution process. Their use of email updates is timely, informative, and includes photos of the goods, which is incredibly important to our donors. Their orientation to detail and organization streamlines the ordering process and they encourage feedback about how they can further improve.

In rising to challenges, this team’s ability to problem-solve creatively and produce consistent outcomes is impressive. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication and service, as are the families we collectively serve.

I have been ordering food for my gaza friends and families through GazaGivingCart for a while now! This was very helpful and effective way to help people who were struggling and starving to put food on the table for their children!
