Umm Mazen is a mother of two who was displaced from Beit Lahia to Gaza City and has been living in a tent since last Ramadan.
The mother explains that Mazen has been malnourished since birth, as he was born weighing 1,800 grams, which prompted her to seek treatment through several child welfare organizations, but the lack of healthy food prevented his condition from improving.
She says that her child is still in critical condition and is currently relying on nutritional supplements and milk, but Mazen began to refuse these supplements, which increased their suffering, especially with the high prices and scarcity of foodstuffs.

The mother expresses her pain about her son’s situation and explains that she is still breastfeeding him, but this is no longer enough in light of his increasing need for fresh and varied food.
