Dear Donors and Community Partners,
Rebuilding Alliance has pioneered this new way to donate to respond to extreme needs. We ask you to donate and then provide your feedback:
- On April 25, 2025, the World Food Programme (WFP) delivered its last remaining food stocks to hot meals kitchens in the Gaza Strip. Rebuilding Alliance’s kitchens received 118 MTons of commodities at that time — and our nine kitchens are still serving 40,000 meals per day. We now have about 6-7 days of food remaining.
- To our surprise, our teams are suddenly seeing more goods available in local markets — but Gaza families have no money at all. They cannot buy — and 70,000 children are now being treated for malnutrition.
- RA has a long partnership with the Gaza pediatric association, Ard El Insan (AEI). They are providing milk supplements to 1500 malnourished children and of these, 300 are severely malnourished children. RA piloting a program with AEI to deliver food boxes to those 300 children.
- RA works with a trusted supplier to buy from the local market — and we learned how to deliver to families in need, especially in the center of Gaza, and in some parts of the north.
Here’s what I’d love to know:
How do you feel about your experience using Gaza GivingCart?
Has it helped you maximize the impact of your donation?
[Donate using Gaza GivingCart] and then let us know what you think.
When you donate, we’ll deliver in no more than a week’s time (usually just 2 days) and email you with confirmation when a family receives the food box.
I look forward to your thoughts and suggestions. I’ll also post updates here to let everyone know how the donations and deliveries are going.
Sincerely,
DBW
P.S. Please remember that the Eid Al Adha will soon be here on June 7th. If you know families in Gaza, please place your order now — buying locally, our teams on the ground in Deir Al Balah and in Gaza City will do their best to deliver food boxes that will help families survive.
